IND vs SL 2nd Test | 'Please don't make your judgment...': Yashasvi Jaiswal on altercation with Asitha Fernando

The second Test match between Team India and Sri Lanka is underway at the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground in Colombo.

On Day 1 of the Test match, Team India's opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sri Lanka's pacer Asitha Fernando were seen getting involved in a heated altercation. Following the incident, the left-handed batsman found himself at the centre of criticism.

Jaiswal then reacted to the criticism by saying that people should know what the bowler said to him before passing judgement.

"If you don't know what he said then please don't make your judgment if anyone cross the line we need to let them know this India will fight and reply," he commented on a Cricbuzz video posted on Instagram.

In the video, renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle said that the easiest way for Jaiswal was to just walk away.

"All I want to say to Jaiswal is... yes, maybe what was said should not have been said. But as you give, so you must take. The easiest thing is just to walk away," said Bhogle.

IND vs SL 2nd Test: Match's situation on Day 2

Coming to the match, Team India has reached the score of 419 runs for the loss of six wickets in 112 overs at the stroke of lunch on Day 2.

Opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 45 runs in 53 balls, including nine boundaries. Fellow opening batsman KL Rahul also scored 18 runs in 33 balls, with the help of two boundaries and a maximum.

Devdutt Padikkal delivered a stunning knock of 117 runs off 193 deliveries, which was laced with 12 boundaries. Skipper Shubman Gill registered 50 runs in 108 balls, which included six boundaries. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant played an impressive knock of 63 runs in 89 balls, including six boundaries and two maximums.

Facing 83 balls, Ravindra Jadeja scored 43 runs, including four boundaries. Saransh Jain was dismissed on six runs in eight balls, including a boundary. Manav Suthar also accumulated 18 runs after facing 51 balls, which included two boundaries.

Sri Lanka's Asitha Fernando has bagged four wickets. Keshara Nuwantha also claimed two wickets. Lahiru Kumara and Prabath Jayasuriya have chipped in with one wicket each.
