West Indies will clash against Team India in the three-match ODI series. The first match is scheduled to be played on September 27 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
Ahead of the series, the West Indies' pacer Alzarri Joseph is set to achieve a new feat in the format's history. He is just nine wickets shy of completing 150 scalps in ODIs.
So far, having played 88 ODI matches, Joseph has claimed 141 wickets, with his best bowling figures being five wickets for 56 runs.
Topping the list is West Indies' legend Courtney Walsh, who has 227 wickets in ODIs. He played 205 ODI matches, and his best bowling figures are five wickets for one run.
The second clash is scheduled to be played on September 30 at the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The Maharaja Yadvindra Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh will host the third clash on October 3.
With this, both teams will prepare for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2027. The ODI World Cup 2027 is set to be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Earlier, a grand ceremony in Johannesburg unveiled the 12 venues that will host next year's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, with eight venues in South Africa, three in Zimbabwe and one in Namibia's capital Windhoek selected as tournament locations.
South Africa will host games at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, SuperSport Park in Centurion, Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban, St George's Park in Gqeberha, Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, Boland Park in Paarl and Buffalo Park in KuGompo City (formerly East London), according to the ICC website.
Zimbabwe will stage matches at Harare Sports Club in Harare, Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo and Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls, while Namibia's capital Windhoek will host games at the Namibia Cricket Ground.
