In the IPL 2026 match against the Mumbai Indians (MI), the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have reached the score of 141 runs for the loss of three wickets after the completion of 10 overs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Having put to bat first, LSG lost the early wicket of its opening batsman Josh Inglis, who departed after scoring 13 runs in five balls, with the help of three boundaries. Fellow opening batsman Mitchell Marsh missed his well-deserved half-century by six runs. Facing 25 balls, he registered 44 runs, including four boundaries and three maximums. Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran delivered an explosive knock of 63 runs off just 21 balls, laced with a boundary and eight maximums.
Currently, Aiden Markram and the captain, Rishabh Pant, are unbeaten at the crease.
MI's Corbin Bosch has claimed two wickets. Allah Ghazanfar also managed to pick up a wicket. Jasprit Bumrah, Deepak Chahar, Raghu Sharma, and Will Jacks are yet to claim any wickets.
Earlier, the "Paltan" made four changes ahead of the match. Raj Bawa replaced Robin Minz, Corbin Bosch came in place of Hardik Pandya, and Deepak Chahar took Trent Boult's place. Krish Bhagat was also rested, and Raghu Sharma made his appearance.
On the other hand, the Super Giants entered the clash with three changes, with Josh Inglis coming in for Ayush Badoni and Mukul Choudhary making way for Akshat Raghuwanshi. Himmat Singh also replaced Digvesh Singh.
After winning the toss, MI's stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav said, "We will look to bowl first. (Any particular reason?) Nothing, it looks good. It's a little humid also tonight. There's no wind. In the second innings, we saw what happened here in the last 2-3 games. So it became a little better. So just want to take advantage and give it to the bowlers. He's (Hardik) not well tonight, so just going into his shoes. But yeah, the rest, everything is fine. There's definitely, Cobin Bosch comes in for Trent Boult and also our very own Rohit Sharma is back. You can't run away from the fact, to be very honest, Mumbai Indians is not known to be in such positions. But at the end of the day, it's just a game, part of the game, you have to put your chin up, play the game for why you love it, and put your hands up. Have that pride and enjoy the game. (Clearly no margin for errors anymore, right?) Can't say it can make us dangerous, but definitely we can try and put our best foot forward. We have five games left. Try and win as many as possible. Show character, enjoy the game, and give some shows to the crowd".
