The Mumbai Indians (MI) are scheduled to lock horns with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2026 match on May 10 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Raipur.
Several reports suggest MI skipper Hardik Pandya did not travel with the squad to Raipur ahead of the match.
Speaking about the matter, a source close to the team said, "We have four days to the game. Some players travelled today, some players will travel tomorrow. I would recommend waiting till the ninth or 10th of May (for the confirmation of the entire squad)".
The official social media handle of the Mumbai-based franchise has also shared a post which read as, "Batch 1 checked in at Raipur! #MumbaiIndians #OneFamily #TATAIPL #RCBvMI".
Additionally, there are several rumours about Hardik joining a new team ahead of IPL 2027. However, there is no confirmation about the development.
The 32-year-old star all-rounder also missed out on the previous clash as he was unwell. In his absence, MI's veteran batsman Suryakumar Yadav led the "Men in Blue and Gold" against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Currently, the "Paltan" is placed in the ninth position with three wins and seven losses out of 10 matches. They have a net run rate (NRR) of -0.649 and six points.
