RCB began their preparations for the upcoming IPL season with an intense three-hour training session at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Friday.

Opener Virat Kohli was seen playing a few shots and taking on the bowlers in a video posted by RCB on their social media handles.

The session also saw wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma and new recruit all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer spending extended time in the nets.

Iyer found his rhythm after initially struggling, while top-order batter Devdutt Padikkal looked composed despite mistiming a few shots against both net bowlers and throwdown specialists.

Jitesh combined wicketkeeping drills with batting and appeared comfortable against short-pitched deliveries.

Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar and leg-spinner Suyash Sharma kept the batters in check with disciplined bowling.
