Rohit Sharma fears Mumbai Indians' four consecutive wins might be nullified by Chennai Super Kings on Friday since their express pacer Lasith Malinga is barred from playing at Chepauk.

Malinga, who has 15 wickets in 10 matches, which have been instrumental in MI's recent winning streak as it has helped the former Indian Premier League champions stay in contention for the play-offs after a disastrous start.

No Sri Lankan player is allowed to play at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. "We will surely miss him (Malinga). He has been a crucial member of our team. His absence will be felt. This gives an opportunity to someone else to come in and prove himself," Rohit said after Mumbai Indians' five-wicket win.

Peaking at the right time
Although MI rose to the fourth spot in the IPL table after Tuesday's win, Rohit isn't looking too much into it.

"We are peaking at the right time. We are not thinking about the table right now as it's very complicated and very tight. Every team is close to each other," Rohit said.

"What happens at the end of May 17 is important. We are focusing and trying to take each game at a time. It is important we stay in the present and think about the next game," he added.
