Call it an irony or a strange co incidence, two players who were responsible in India's thrilling five-run win against Pakistan in the T20 final in September 2007, have failed to make it even to the list of 30 probables announced by the BCCI on Saturday.

S Sreesanth, who caught Misbah-ul-Haq off Joginder Sharma in a dramatic last over where Pakistan needed 13 to win, has been left out of the list, out of which the squad would be picked for the forthcoming edition of the T20 World Cup scheduled to be played in England in June.

"I thought they would announce a team after the second Indian Premier League. I was at the ground when my wife broke this news to me. Obviously, I am very sad but what to do? Now, I will concentrate on the IPL and try and do my best. The only way back into any team is solid performances. So yeah, all hope is not lost," Joginder told Sunday MiD DAY on Saturday.

While Sreesanth who is nursing an ankle injury is believed to have not recovered, there was no specific reason as to why Sharma was ignored.
