Kohli unfazed by opening blues

Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir's continued their poor run as openers for Team India in the World T20 opener against Afghanistan at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday

The Delhi duo failed to get India off to a rollicking start as tall left-arm seamer Shapoor Zardan gave Afghanistan a dream start, removing both Gambhir (caught behind, 8) and Sehwag (bowled, 10) within the first five overs with only 22 runs on the board.

However, Kohli was confident India's openers will be among the runs soon. "Normally, when you hit a bad patch in the T20s, it tends to get stretched for a few matches but you need that one match to make a comeback. And in this format, a good start means 40-45 runs unlike ODIs where you need 85-90 run starts. I believe our openers are experienced and soon they will get big scores," said Kohli. u00a0
