New Delhi: With the series in the bag, Virat Kohli's India would eye yet another victory in the fourth Test against South Africa here.

This is Kohli's first Test as captain on his home ground - the Feroz Shah Kotla - an occasion he'd like to mark with success. On the other hand, South Africa endeavour to end a tough Test series on a high. On both sides, the batsmen have a lot to do for it has been a tough series, with only three half-centuries recorded and a highest team score of 215.

Murali Vijay has been India's best batsman in this series, looking more comfortable than any other player. Kohli was honest to admit that his team hasn't done too well with the bat. "We have not applied ourselves fully and that's a fact. If you can take a 75-run partnership to 140, you get closer to 300 and you get one more partnership which takes you to 350," Kohli said.

This is also a great opportunity for the Indian team as they get a chance to move to No 2 in the ICC Test Rankings if they thwart a South African victory.

Steyn ruled out
The challenging series has tested the South Africans. They may consider bringing in a few new faces, such as batsman Temba Bavuma or spinner Dane Piedt. South Africa skipper Hashim Amla confirmed that pacer Dale Steyn will not play the fourth Test.
