London: "Bhuvneshwar Kumar Singh is India's best fast bowler and I am not saying this because he claimed six wickets here."

West Indies pace bowling legend Courtney Walsh was at his emphatic best at Lord's on Saturday after India bowled out England for 319 for a 24-run first innings lead.

Walsh (51), who is in London for charity work concerning the Courtney Walsh Foundation, is impressed by Bhuvneshwar's swing and intelligence. "If he can improve his pace a bit, he will be a lovely bowler," said Walsh.

Shami disappoints
The Jamaican, who claimed 519 wickets in 132 Tests, indicated that he was disappointed with Bhuvneshwar's opening partner Mohammed Shami, the pacer who claimed nine West Indies wickets in the Kolkata Test last year.

"Shami bowled extremely well in Kolkata. I did not see him bowling that length here and I didn't see that fire in his bowling either,"
said Walsh.

He expressed sheer disappointment when it came to Ishant Sharma, the senior-most bowler in India's attack: "Ishant has to concentrate on swinging the ball in England.

He is the team's fastest bowler, but has not developed yet. He is still the same bowler who we saw in Australia during the 2007-08 season.

Maybe, he has improved as far as line is concerned because he is not that erratic." Walsh will return home to Jamaica shortly since he is connected with the Caribbean Cricket League.
