What a gift! MS Dhoni gets a Rs 1.5 crore apartment from real estate developer

Real estate developer Elan Group on Wednesday said it had gifted a luxury serviced apartment to India wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in its project in Gurugram

Real estate developer Elan Group on Wednesday said it has gifted a luxury serviced apartment to India wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in its project in Gurugram.

"His unparallelled service and contribution towards Indian cricket is commendable. May he keep on inspiring the young generation for years to come," said Rakesh Kapoor, chairman of Elan Group. The cost of the apartment is Rs 1.5 crore and it measures 1,000 sq ft.

This isn't the first time Dhoni has been given real estate as gift. He recently was gifted one acre of land by Lal Gopal Sharan Nath Shahdeo in his hometown in Kanthitar. Mahi plans to build a farmhouse there so that he can spend some quality time in his hometown after he retires. Dhoni is currently supervising construction work at the farmhouse.

The 35-year-old cricketer have a new address in Ranchi, a farmhouse -- ‘Kailashpati' -- where his wife Sakshi, daugher Ziva and parents -- Paan Singh and Devaki Devi, have shifted to recently.

'Kailashpati' -- the farmhouse -- is on Ranchi's Ring Road and is spread across seven acres, The new bungalow has an indoor stadium, swimming pool, a field for net practice, an ultra-modern gym. The report says that the compound will also house a five-star hotel.
