Ahead of the ODI Women's World Cup 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced its squad for the mega event. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Indian pack, and Smriti Mandhana has been appointed as her deputy.
The "Women in Blue" will begin their campaign with a match against Sri Lankan women on September 30 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After concluding the first game, the Harmanpreet-led side will lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 5. The mega clash between India and Pakistan will be held at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The last match of the group stage will be played between India and Bangladesh on October 26 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Before the marquee event, Harmanpreet and co will clash against the Australia side for a three-match ODI series. The contest will be begin from September 14.
The first two matches are scheduled to be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium. The third and final ODI is set to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The series will also serve as a preparatory tournament for both sides before heading into the global showpiece. Taking to X:
