India's batting star Cheteshwar Pujara continued his brilliant form this season by slamming a double century against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy here yesterday.

Pujara's unbeaten 203 (off 221 balls) enhanced Saurashtra's chances of making it to the quarter-finals. Set a huge target of 411, MP were 89 for two.

Opener Jalaj Saxena (46 not out) and Rameez Khan (4 not out) were at the crease at the end of the third day. Saurashtra are fifth on the table with 17 points. An outright victory will get them six points to finish in the top three teams of Group A. MP (20 points in 7 games) will be out of knockout contention if they suffer a defeat.

However, a draw will give them an outside chance of making it. Pujara and Aarpit Vasavada put on 159 runs for the fourth wicket.
