Seven arrested for betting on IPL matches

Bareilly (UP): Seven persons including relative of an MLA have been arrested for their alleged involvement in betting on IPL matches here, police said on Wednesday.

Seven persons were betting on IPL matches were arrested from a shop in Bahedi area yesterday night, Superintendent of Police (SP), Rural Brijesh Srivastav said.

Police identified one of the accused as Mohammad Tahir, who they said is relative of a MLA. However, police did not provide further details saying a probe into the matter is on.
