Indian T20I skipper Shreyas Iyer has signed a major residential rental agreement in Mumbai, securing a luxury apartment in the upscale Worli area, one of the city's most premium real estate locations.
According to property registration data accessed from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), the cricketer will begin his stay at a monthly rent of Rs 18.50 lakh.
The leased property is located in the high-end Artesia development in Worli, known for its luxury residences and prime city views.
The apartment has a built-up area of around 3,875 square feet (360 sq m) and comes with four dedicated parking spaces, adding to its premium value.
The agreement also involved a security deposit of Rs 74 lakh, along with a stamp duty payment of Rs 1.84 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 1,000.
The rental agreement is set for a duration of 36 months, with a structured yearly increase in rent.
- Year 1: Rs 18.50 lakh per month
- Year 2: Rs 19.79 lakh per month
- Year 3: Rs 21.18 lakh per month
Over the full term, the total rental value of the agreement is estimated at around Rs 7.14 crore.
The high-value lease highlights Mumbai's growing ultra-luxury rental market, particularly in prime residential zones such as Worli, which continues to attract high-profile tenants from sport, business and entertainment sectors.
