Mumbai: Aditya Verma, secretary of the Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB), alleged that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president N Srinivasan was trying to stop him from meeting the three-member Mudgal Commission that is probing corruption allegations in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Supreme Court formed the Mudgal Commission following Verma's plea in the Bombay High Court which stated that the BCCI's probe committee was illegal.

In a press release yesterday, Verma stated: "I got a message from one of my media friends that being a petitioner, the Commission will also call me for an inquiry.

When I contacted the Commission, they told me that I have to appear on January 17 at Taj Bengal, Kolkata between 9 am and 10:30 am.

They told me that the BCCI would also send a letter informing about the time, date and place. Surprisingly, the BCCI has not sent me a letter till date because Srinivasan is trying to stop me from facing the Commission."
