St Joseph's held goalless in GSA football

ST JOSEPH'S (Wadala) played out a goalless draw with St Dominic Savio (Andheri) in the boys' under-12 first round match of the Goan Sports Association (GSA)-organised inter-school football tournament at GSA ground at Cross Maidan yesterday.

St Joseph's (Wadala) played out a goalless draw with St Dominic Savio (Andheri) in theu00a0 boys' under-12 first round match of the Goan Sports Association (GSA)-organised inter-school football tournament at GSA ground at Cross Maidan yesterday.

The Andheri outfit's coach Nazario Coutinho was disappointed for missing out on three points. "They could have easily got three points, but instead walked away with just one point. We were unlucky," he said.

Though both teams played aggressively, defenders did a great job. Savio goalkeeper Yash Dholam and Wadala defender Bishnu Bohara were impressive.

The Andheri team's best chance came in the second half from a goal mouth melee which saw the St Joseph's custodian Yash Pardesi out of position. Karan Kutty's shot was off target.
