Pakistan needed to win yesterday's contest to remain in semifinal race but their defeat has sent West Indies in the final-four.

It was England's fourth straight win while Pakistan won two and lost as many matches. West Indies finished second in Group ‘B' with three wins.

England posted a challenging 148-5, built around skipper Charlotte Edwards' unbeaten 77. Along with fellow opener Tammy Beaumont (37) she gave a flying start to her team as they raised a 68-run stand in quick time.

Charlotte lost a few teammates from the other end but she she kept scoring at a good pace, steering the side to a winning total.

Pakistan's off-spinner Nida Dar took three wickets for 21 runs in her four overs while pacer Asmavia Iqbal took the other two wickets.
