WTC Final: No media band leaves Ricky Ponting with no lunch at The Oval

The band which Ricky Ponting didn’t have, to avail of lunch in the media area on Wednesday

Ricky Ponting couldn't avail of lunch at the media enclosure of The Oval on Wednesday because he didn't have a media band, to be worn on his wrist.

The former Australia captain, however, didn't make a big deal over the refusal after he returned from a lunch break television chat with Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar. Ponting was quick to head upstairs, where the commentary boxes are housed.
