Yuvraj Singh bowled over by young Musheer Khan

Eight-year-old Mumbai-based left-arm spinner Musheer Khan was scheduled to be at home to train with his father and coach Naushad.


But he couldn't possibly miss out on an opportunity to meet Yuvraj Singh at the 2011 World Cup hero's academy inauguration here on Saturday.

Big chance
Musheer not only got a chance to play a friendly game, but also bowled to Yuvraj and had him stumped. "Actually, he hit me for a six the ball before that. Then, I pitched the ball a little up. After the first innings, Yuvraj Sir came to me and said that was a good delivery. I am so happy," Musheer toldu00a0SUNDAY MiD DAY.

After the game, Yuvraj gave Musheer an autographed ball. "That was an awesome ball, Musheer," Yuvraj wrote.u00a0Musheer's elder brother Sarfaraz has already made waves in Mumbai cricket. His tall scores have earned him a place in the Ranji Trophyu00a0probables.

Musheer's father Naushad was delighted. "I can't explain my happiness in words. This is a big moment for my son,"u00a0said Naushad.

It can be recalled that Musheer's analysis of 8-5-11-6 on debut in the U-14 Giles Shield tournament for Anjuman-I-Islam (English) in 2011-12 made it to the Wisden Cricketers' Almanack just like Sarfaraz's 439 for Rizvi Springfield in 2009 when he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's school record of 326 in the Harris Shield tournament.
