During the second ODI match against England, South Africa's Matthew Breetzke played a knock of 85 runs off just 77 deliveries. His knock was laced with seven boundaries and three maximums
With this, he became the first-ever player to register scores of fifty-plus in each of the first five ODI matches
His score is also the highest by any South African batsman in an ODI match at the ord's Cricket Ground. The record was previously held by Herschelle Gibbs, who scored 74 runs in 2008
Breetzke also joined the likes of Jonty Rhodes, Quinton de Kock, and Heinrich Klassen in registering the joint-most fifty-plus scores for the Proteas in the format
Currently, the 26-year-old has scored 463 runs in five ODI innings. With an average of 92.60, he also has a century and four half-centuries to his name. So far, his best score in the 50-over format is 150 runs
