England batting stalwart Joe Root has reclaimed his top spot on the ICC Men's Test rankings after he registered scores of 104 and 40 runs in the third Test match against Team India at the Lord's Cricket Ground

At the age of 34, the right-hander is the oldest number 1 ranked Test batsman since Kumar Sangakkara. The former Sri Lankan skipper achieved the top spot in December 2014 at the age of 37

Ravindra Jadeja, who played fighting knocks of 72 and an unbeaten 61 runs, respectively, in both innings of the third Test match, has climbed to the 34th spot on the Test list

Amid their ongoing form in the Test series against England, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have dropped down and are placed in the fifth and eighth ranks, respectively

KL Rahul, after his knock of 100 and 39 runs from the Lord's clash, has moved up and is now placed on the 35th rank on the latest ICC Men's Test batting rankings
