Spanning over 8,000 square feet, the museum celebrates the legacy of Mumbai cricket and honours one of its key figures. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is all set to soon inaugurate the newly constructed museum at the iconic Wankhede Stadium

The museum is a treasure trove for cricket enthusiasts, showcasing a wide range of memorabilia. Visitors will get to see kits used by former and current Mumbai cricketers, including bats, balls, sweaters, and jerseys, each piece telling a story of cricketing excellence from the region

One of the unique highlights of the museum is a replica of a players’ dressing room, designed to give fans a taste of the behind-the-scenes environment. With sofas, cricketers jerseys hanging on the walls, and careful detailing, this space recreates the atmosphere where game strategies are discussed and nerves are calmed

Adding to the immersive experience is a giant projection screen on the first floor, where visitors can relive the unforgettable moments of India’s 2011 ODI World Cup victory. This celebration clip is expected to be one of the most emotional and crowd-pulling features of the museum

The museum also houses a specially curated library with a collection of rare cricket books that are not commonly found in bookstores. Titles like Sunil Gavaskar’s Straight Drive and World Cup '99 form part of the collection. The library’s flooring has been given an ancient, vintage touch to enhance the overall ambience and provide visitors with a feeling of entering a historically rich space

With its blend of history, nostalgia, and modern presentation, the Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum promises to be a landmark destination for cricket lovers from around the country. In addition, a dedicated audio-visual room has been set up to screen a short film on the rich history of the MCA, offering insights into its journey as one of India’s richest domestic cricket boards

The museum will also have a look at the historic Wankhede Stadium from a bird's-eye view. The management has created a miniature of the stadium
