In the first Test match against South Africa, Team India's Ravindra Jadeja played a knock of 27 runs off 45 deliveries, which was laced with three boundaries
With this, he has completed 4000 runs in the longest format of the game
Jadeja also entered the elite club of cricketers who have completed 4000 runs and have at least 300 wickets in Test cricket
The 36-year-old all-rounder became just the fourth player to achieve this feat. Before him are Kapil Dev (5248 runs, 434 wickets), England legend Ian Botham (5200 runs, 383 wickets), and New Zealand legend Daniel Vettori (4531 runs, 362 wickets), who have accomplished the milestone in the format
