During the first women's T20I match against Sri Lanka, Team India's Smriti Mandhana played a knock of 25 runs off 25 deliveries. His knock was laced with four boundaries

With this, she scripted history by becoming the first Indian woman to complete 4000 runs in the format's history

She is also the second player in women's cricket history to achieve the feat. Before her, New Zealand's Suzie Bates (4716 runs) had reached the milestone

Mandhana is also the quickest to accomplish the feat in terms of balls taken (3227), compared to Bates, who took 3675 deliveries to reach the feat

Currently, the 29-year-old cricketer has accumulated 4007 runs in 154 T20I matches. Her best score in the format is 112 runs, including a century and 31 half-centuries
