The semi-final 1 of the T20 World Cup 2026 between South Africa and New Zealand is set to be played on March 4 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata (Pic: X/@ICC)
Ahead of the match, South Africa's skipper Aiden Markram is 52 runs shy of completing 2000 runs in the shortest format of the game (Pic: X/@ICC)
So far, having represented South Africa in 76 T20I matches, the burly right-handed batsman has garnered 1948 runs. With a top score of an unbeaten 86 runs, he also has 14 half-centuries to his name in the format (Pic: X/@ICC)
