In the T20 World Cup 2026 match against New Zealand, South Africa's Quinton de Kock played a knock of 20 runs off 14 deliveries, which was laced with three boundaries and a maximum

With this, he scripted history by becoming the first South African batsman to reach the mark of 3000 runs in the shortest format of the game

So far in 105 T20I matches for the Proteas, de Kock has amassed 3018 runs, with a top score of 115 runs. He also has two centuries and 19 half-centuries to his name

David Miller is placed in the second place on the list with 2671 runs, followed by Reeza Hendricks (2504 runs), JP Duminy (1934 runs), and Aiden Markram (1830 runs)

The Proteas also secured a dominating victory by seven wickets against the "Black Caps" at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad
