As Australia gears up for the highly anticipated World Test Championship (WTC) final against South Africa, Steve Smith and Travis Head will be the top two players to watch out for
In the previous edition, Smith and Head delivered match-winning knocks to clinch the 2023 title by defeating India at the Oval
In the final match against India, Head and Smith milked 285 runs, by smashing 163 and 121 runs, respectively
If the 'Baggy Greens' want to defend their WTC mace, it will need Smith and Head to deliver top performances in the Lord's encounter
The 36-year-old Smith is one of Australia's batting mainstays. In 12 knockout matches, the right-hander has accumulated 584 runs, including two tons and four half-centuries. His top score remains 121 runs
On the other hand, Head, with his swashbuckling abilities, has amassed 419 runs in four knockout appearances for the Aussies. He also has two centuries and a half-century with a best score of 163 runs
