Erling Haaland jokes about ‘battle scars’ after Arsenal clash

Erling Haaland's battle with Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes in Sunday's pivotal English Premier League clash went the Norwegian's way, as he scored the goal that sealed the 2-1 win for the Sky Blues. However, despite the result, the star striker's partner Isabel Johansen would not have been pleased, he opined.

Haaland said that his tussle with the Brazilian defender will surely leave his girlfriend "unhappy," particularly due to the battle scars on his body. "My shirt got pulled [during the game]. I was wrestling with him [Gabriel] here and there. A lot of duels. A lot of scratches. My missus won't be happy about this. It looks a bit wrong," Haaland said after his performance helped Pep Guardiola's side close the gap to league leaders Arsenal to just three points with the Sky Blues having a game in hand.
