London: Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho is relishing every step in what promises to be a dream season.

Little has gone wrong for the Brazilian since he joined City in a 30million pounds deal from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer.

The 28-year-old has established himself as a central force at the heart of the club's drive for success on multiple fronts.

His form has also earned him a recall to his national squad and he now has the chance to secure a place ahead of this summer's World Cup in his homeland.

Fernandinho said: "It is important for players to win titles, and we have a chance to win a new title, so I am very excited about this final. For me it is very important. I have individual targets.

"If you play a final it is very important for your career. You have to be ready to play a good match." Fernandinho has never played at Wembley and that is an extra factor that motivates him.

He said: "Maybe it can be the same as the Maracana in Brazil. It is a special moment in my career and I want to enjoy this moment."
