Brazil winger Gabriel Martinelli stated that star forward Neymar Jr is in âgreat shape' and âperforming at a very high level' in training ahead of their FIFA World Cup Group C clash against Scotland on Monday.
Neymar, who is Brazil's record goalscorer with 79 goals in 128 games, arrived at the World Cup nursing a calf injury and missed the Selecao's first two fixtures - a 1-1 draw with Morocco and a 3-0 win over Haiti.
"He's performing at a very high level, and you could see the intensity in training. You could see how keen he is to play, and his quality is nquestionable," said Martinelli.
Neymar's potential return will be a boost for Brazil, who recently lost forward Raphinha to a hamstring injury. A win over Scotland will guarantee Brazil's qualification.
