Spain striker Ferran Torres, who wrote his name in the annals of World Cup history by scoring the 106th-minute winner in La Roja's 1-0 triumph over Argentina in the final, reportedly broke up with girlfriend Martina Hunter less than two weeks before the all-important summit clash.
German publication Bild quoted Spanish journalist Javi de Hoyos, saying: "I have spoken to people close to both of them [Torres and Hunter] and the romance is over, for now." He added that Torres and Hunter parted ways after Spain's 2-1 quarter-final win over Belgium.
The two former lovers were spotted partying in Ibiza just before the World Cup began last month, but have now unfollowed each other on social media, in what was reportedly a bitter break up.
Hunter is an influencer, and fashion stylist, but never publicly spoke about her relationship with the Barcelona forward.
