‘I’m completely unbothered’: Jurgen Klopp reflects after Greece defeat

Jurgen Klopp tasted his first defeat as Germany's manager as the four-time World Champions lost 0-1 to Greece here on Sunday.

Klopp's side offered little in attack and lacked the energy they had displayed on the former Liverpool coach's debut in a 1-1 away draw with the Netherlands on Thursday.

The Germans had struggled to find a way through the Greek defence for the opening hour before the visitors broke through on the counter, with Dimitrios Kourbelis scoring in the 74th minute.

Despite the shock loss, Klopp said he was ‘unbothered,' choosing to focus on their learnings from the game instead.

"I'm completely unbothered by it. I've lost far more matches in my life than I'd have liked. But as long as you draw the right conclusions, a loss is ultimately just a piece of information - no different from a win.

Germany skipper Joshua Kimmich echoed his sentiments. "We sometimes need these kinds of games. Klopp's been very clear about what he wants. We just need to implement it," said Kimmich.

Meanwhile, in another Nations League encounter, Portugal beat Norway 2-1, thanks to goals from Joao Felix and Goncalo Ramos. Cristiano Ronaldo was an unused substitute.
