Belgium boss Mark van Bommel promised that they will not dial down their intensity and play on the front foot against France, when the two sides face off in a Nations League Group A clash here on Monday.

"I started [my coaching tenure] by emphasising on intensity. The idea has to remain the same. Of course, you have to take the quality of the opponent into account, but that does not change our style of play," said Van Bommel.

Belgium may breathe a sigh of relief considering France will be without Kylian Mbappe, who suffered a knee injury during their 1-0 win over Turkiye and is out for an indefinite period. However, with the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Michael Olise, Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola, Les Bleus possess more than enough firepower to hurt Belgium.
