Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry showered high praise on Gunners's star forward Bukayo Saka, revealing how the academy graduate pushed through the pain barrier to be the north London outfit's hero against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.
Speaking on US television channel CBS, Henry, who won two English Premier League titles with Arsenal and a Champions League with Barcelona, said: "He [Saka] has been questioned all season. Can he be the guy? Is he not the guy? Is he the star boy? Is he not the star boy?
Today he had to play with barely [any] training. I know he's suffering with his Achilles tendon. I spoke to him when he came back [from injury] and he was like, âI've got to be on the pitch. It's do or die'. So you must give [him] credit. Sometimes we take it for granted. We all played through injuries. We all had moments where you're not 100 per cent. He had to do it [too], and he delivered."
