It took the Juhu outfit just six minutes to open their account via a goal from Shwet Jain. The Worli team managed an equaliser in the 17th minute when left winger Shubham volleyed in teammate Jay Lanjekar's pass. With scores tied at 1-1, both teams went out aggressively in search of a winner.

In the 23rd minute, midfielder Joy scored from outside the penalty area to seal the win for Sacred Heart. Earlier in the day, St Peter's (Mazgaon) beat Christ Church (Byculla) 2-0 courtesy goals from Hamza Chariyari and Granth Jain. Their 4-4-2 formation worked well.
