SSE BFC beat Reliance FYC 2-1 to emerge MFA champs

SSE BFC produced a spirited fightback to seal their maiden Mumbai Football Association (MFA) boys U-16 Yuva President League title, edging past Reliance FYC 2-1 in a pulsating final at the Neville D'Souza ground, Bandra, on Sunday.

Reliance FYC took the lead in the 14th minute as Siyad Hussain slotted home an easy tap-in. However, SSE BFC gradually found their rhythm and restored parity in the 26th minute when Vansh Negi converted a penalty to make it 1-1 at the break.

After resumption, SSE BFC found the decisive move in the 50th minute, when skipper Ishaan Ghosh rose to the occasion, scoring the winner with a powerful header.
