The I-League club owners announced yesterday that they will hold a meeting with officials of the All India Football Federation soon over a proposed IPL-style football league which has raised hackles among the clubs.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the I-League Professional Football Clubs Association (IPFCA) which was attended by representatives of eleven clubs.

"A letter has come from Kushal Das (AIFF's general secretary) asking for a joint meeting with IMG (AIFF's marketing partners). We today decided that six of our members would attend the meeting," said Pune FC's owner Nandan Piramal at a media conference.

Raj Gomes (president of IPFCA), Chirag Tanna (IPFCA secretary), two IPFCA vice presidents, Valanka Alemao (CEO of Churchill Brothers) and Mustafa Ghouse (from newly formed I-League club JSW) will attend the meeting with AIFF representatives on behalf of the IPFCA.u00a0
