Booed Wozniacki advances to third round

World No 1 Caroline Wozniacki made hard work of her second-round match at the French Open against Aleksandra Wozniak today before overcoming the Canadian 6-3, 7-6 (10/8).

Wozniacki broke serve in game two before dominating the rest of the opening set. But Wozniak fought back in the second set and took a 6-3 lead in the tie-breaker before Wozniacki caused a short delay by querying a decision.

Wozniacki, who received a number of boos and whistles from the crowd for her questioning of the umpire, won the next five points to advance into the third round where she will face Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchova.
