Mumbai traffic might drown out the sound of jingling bells, but it is evident that Christmas has come early to the Mahalakshmi racecourse this year with the Indo-German Christmas fest to take off this weekend (December 4-5) at the racecourse. Santa will be at the Haji Ali racing hub, for the Christmas market.
On Sunday, December 5, the merry making will run concurrently with the Racing Carnival where the best horseflesh will thunder on the track. Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) chairman, Vivek Jain called it a, "day to be looked forward to," while German representatives dropped hints about getting a, Reefer in for the weekend. The reefer is a gigantic refrigerator, which people can step into with temperatures dropping as low as 5 degrees centigrade or even lower.
