Pune: A ten-race card scheduled for Saturday brings down the curtain on the 24-day Pune monsoon racing season. The Delhi Race Club Trophy, a six-furlong sprint for class I horses, promises to be the most exciting affair.

There are seven runners in the fray, and four of them--Merchantofvenice, Deep Diver, Nascar and Harvey--are already renowned for blazing early speed. Add to that Renee, actually a seven-furlong specialist who, after change of yard and location, seems to have specially been prepared with this cup on view.

However, the problem is although speedy, not all of them can carry their speed effectively over six furlongs, and on this count, the Sunderji-trained Harvey, who has scored three of his four career wins over this trip, may get the judge's nod in a thrilling finish. Neeraj Rawal will ride Harvey.

The Shroff-Narredu battle for championship continues to hold interest as going into the last day of the season, both are tied up at 19 wins each, and have entered runners in multiple races on the card.

First race at 12.30 pm.
