In order to support players in their professional career, the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association has, for the first time, set aside a corpus of Rone crore.
This was a significant part of the MSLTA's Vision 2020 programme that was unveiled at a media conference yesterday by president Bharat Oza and secretary Sunder Iyer.
"We had been supporting players until the age of 18. But once they reach the next level they lack support," Iyer said.
