"Keep cool, run hard." That's what cricket great Sachin Tendulkar has told his daughter Sara as she runs for charity in the Mumbai Marathon today.
Thirteen-year-old Sara will run for Apnalaya, a charity spearheaded by her grandmother Annabel Mehta. "I will enjoy being part of the Apnalaya team in the Dream Run. I have wanted to take part for a long time, but this is the first year that I am old enough to participate," Sara said.
Big day
Asked how she trained for the marathon, she revealed: "I don't have much time for Marathon practice with so many other activities for school. I play tennis thrice a week and do some fitness training at a club."
It's a big day for both father and daughter. Sara will look to go the distance at the marathon while Sachin will hope for a good Day One in the Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong.
