Anil Bodhare, Sushma Pardesi are carrom champs

Virar-based Anil Bodhare and Sushma Pardesi won the men's an women's singles titles respectively in the 28th Vasai Taluka Kala-Kreeda Mahotsav Carrom Tournament organised by the Vasai Taluka Kala-Kreeda Vikas Mandal under the auspices of Palghar District Carrom Association at the Ganpatrao Vartak Sabhagruha Hall, Kreeda Mandal in Vasai recently.

In the men's singles final, an unseeded Bodhare of Young Stars Trust upset former champion Giridhar Bhoj of Nalasopara in straight games 25-16, 25-12 to pocket the title for the second time. In the women's singles final, second seed Pardesi of Young Stars Trust beat her club mate and top seed Sonal Sawant 25-6, 7-25, 25-12 for her maiden title.
