"As I did not have a pair of shoes to train with, a senior at the SAI hostel here readily agreed to part with his practice shoes. This win has inspired me to do even better now at the upcoming state meet. I want to take up long distance running some day," said Anil, who is participating in a district-level competition for the first time.
