The Qatar women's basketball team at the centre of protests over wearing hijab headscarves left the Asian Games before their final match yesterday, officials said.
The 11 women and their coaches returned to Doha on Friday, a team spokesman said. They were supposed to play Kazakhstan before they flew back home.
