Ace Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen suffered first-round exits at the Denmark Open Super 750 tournament here on Tuesday.

Sindhu lost to Yvonne Li of Germany 21-13, 23-25, 19-21, while Sen went down to Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei 18-21, 21-13, 15-21.

Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth advanced to the second round, needing 46 minutes to prevail over Arnaud Merkle of France 22-20, 21-19.
