Bateleur for Gen Rajendrasinhji Million

Only five three-year-olds are in the fray for the General Rajendrasinhji Million, the feature event of Saturday's nine-race card slated at the Pune racetrack. The race will be run over a mile, but the only horse who has won over this trip in last start--Texas Gold--may not have as many admirers as the Vishal Gaikwad-trained Bateleur, who has lost over the mile in last start, or the Karthik-trained Gallant Knight who has yet to go over this trip.

The reason is both Bateleur and Gallant Knight rate much higher on the Dynamic class factor. The former, to be ridden by A Imran Khan, was not at all disgraced when losing to Pure Zinc in the grade 3, S A Poonawalla Million when despite lacking experience, he made a wire-to-wire bid which flopped close home. Bateleur is expected to make amends and win the feature event.
