Ducati's Spanish rider Marc Marquez seized the lead from compatriot Jorge Martin of Aprilia in the MotoGP world championship following victory in a thrilling and chaotic sprint race here on Saturday.
The reigning seven-time world champion took the chequered flag in a dramatic 13-lap sprint to go four points clear of Martin in the standings.
Trackhouse Racing's Ai Ogura and VR46's Fabio Di Giannantonio finished second and third respectively.
"This was a very important win," said Marquez, who took the lead in the championship for the first time this year with 343 points.
