Iga Swiatek booked her place in the last 16 of the French Open on Friday.
Four-time women's champ Swiatek beat Magda Linette 6-4, 6-4, after digging herself out of an early 0-2 hole against Linette, who won their most recent meeting at Miami in March. "It was a good match. I played much better than Miami," said Swiatek.
Meanwhile, Russian teenager Mirra Andreeva, 19, swept into the last 16 too. The youngster beat Czech Republic's Marie Bouzkova in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
